United Way of Greater Cincinnati is seeking a Sr. Accountant, Payroll and Finance Operations in Cincinnati, OH.

This role manages payroll processing, accounts payable, reconciliations, and financial reporting, serving as the primary resource for assigned processes to ensure accuracy and compliance. The position requires a bachelor’s in accounting and 5+ years of related experience, with Paycor experience highly desirable.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.
• Minimum of five years of relevant accounting or financial experience preferred.
• Experience with payroll processing and benefits administration; Paycor is highly desirable.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook; intermediate Excel.
• Strong attention to detail and analytical problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary contact for insurance-related matters, including renewals, invoices, claims, and reporting requirements.
• Coordinate financial audit and tax preparation activities and Form 990 support.
• Lead 403(b) compliance and reporting including annual 403(b) audit coordination.
• Coordinate biweekly payroll processing with HR; verify payroll, uploads, and reports.
• Lead CPP accounts payable; provide weekly support for UWGC accounts payable activities.
• Support annual Form 1099 reporting process and information gathering for auditors.
• Prepare and maintain accounting reconciliations for employee benefits and related liabilities.
• Review and process monthly invoices from health and life insurance carriers.
• Support records retention program and documentation destruction in line with standards.
• Provide administrative support for key finance activities.
