Job summary

Salsa is seeking a payroll support guru to educate and assist customers and platform partners on US payroll. You’ll be a first responder for time-sensitive questions, build a payroll knowledge base, and run live webinars. You’ll collaborate with product and engineering to simplify payroll and scale support.

This role requires 4+ years of US payroll experience, strong communication, and a data-driven mindset in a fast-paced startup environment on the West Coast.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of US payroll provider experience required in a support capacity.
• Customer-facing payroll support experience is a must.
• Excellent writing and communication skills for complex payroll concepts.
• Data skills with Excel/Google Sheets and AI tooling.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert-level day-to-day payroll support and guidance.
• Own partner relationships and educate partners on US payroll and product platform.
• Collaborate with Knowledge & Enablement to share payroll knowledge across teams.
• Be the product expert and advise on payroll, product, and tax matters.
• Design or lead trainings and webinars for customers and partners.
• Audit and optimize CX and payroll operations processes.
• Partner with product/engineering to improve payroll systems.
• Identify trends and relay product feedback to the team.
• Reroute non-support questions to the appropriate teams.
