Job summary

Slalom Build is seeking a Payroll Specialist to ensure accurate, compliant, and timely U.S. payroll delivery, with growth toward North America payroll operations. You will support day-to-day processing, validate data, and maintain payroll documentation while collaborating with internal teams and external vendors.

The role emphasizes attention to detail, curiosity, and willingness to expand payroll knowledge across regions over time. Strong system aptitude and ownership mindset are valued.

Qualifications

• Experience with U.S. payroll processing and related audits, reconciliations, and inquiries.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to timely, compliant payroll delivery.
• Familiarity with Workday, ADP, or other payroll systems preferred.

Responsibilities

• Process and support U.S. payroll activities following established procedures and timelines.
• Review inputs and outputs to identify discrepancies and ensure accurate results.
• Research and resolve routine payroll issues and employee inquiries; escalate complex matters.
• Perform payroll audits and reconciliations, document findings and resolutions.
• Create and maintain clear payroll documentation and SOPs for audits and processes.
• Collaborate with Payroll, HRIS, Benefits, Finance, and external vendors to resolve issues.
