Job summary

Lightwave Logic, located in Englewood, CO, is seeking a Payroll Specialist/Bookkeeper to manage semi-monthly multi-state payroll, equity administration, AP processing, fixed assets, and state registrations. The role collaborates with Finance, HR, and Operations to ensure accurate financial reporting.

The ideal candidate has 2–5 years of accounting experience, payroll knowledge, and familiarity with NetSuite ERP.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field preferred.
2–5 years of hands-on accounting experience.
Experience with payroll processing preferred.
Experience supporting equity administration programs (stock options, RSUs, or ESPP) preferred.
Experience in a public company, manufacturing, technology, or high-growth environment is a plus.
Experience with NetSuite ERP and payroll systems strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

Administer semi-monthly multi-state payroll processing with HR and payroll providers.
Prepare payroll entries and reconciliations; assist with payroll tax reporting.
Administer stock-based compensation programs and equity records.
Process vendor invoices and AP close activities.
Maintain fixed asset records and related schedules.
Assist with state registrations, licenses, and compliance initiatives.
