Job summary

CLA is seeking a Payroll Director to join the Outsourcing team in Atlanta, providing leadership and technical expertise to internal teams and clients while overseeing payroll processing, tax management, and client service.

Requirements include 5 years of relevant payroll experience and at least 2 years in a leadership role; a Bachelor's degree is required or an equivalent combination of experience and training; PHR, SPHR, or CPP preferred.

Qualifications

• 5 years of relevant payroll experience.
• Experience leading payroll teams with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
• Bachelor's degree required or equivalent combination of experience and training.
• Degree in Business, Accounting, Human Resources, or related field preferred.
• PHR, SPHR or CPP preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office products, including Excel, and payroll software.

Responsibilities

• Oversee payroll processing and review the work of Payroll Analyst I and II; train and coach staff.
• Oversee state tax registrations and quarterly tax filings; act as payroll tax resource.
• Develop policies and procedures to ensure consistent, high-quality client experiences.
• Manage client relationships and lead project setup, conversions, and invoicing.
