Job summary

CLA is seeking a Payroll Director to lead the Outsourcing payroll team in Dallas, TX, overseeing payroll processing and supervising Payroll Analyst I and II to ensure accurate, timely payments. This role partners with clients and internal teams to maintain high service standards.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree and 5 years of payroll experience, with leadership experience preferred. PHR/SPHR/CPP are a plus, and a broad benefits program supports CLA professionals.

Qualifications

• 5 years of relevant experience.
• Experience in payroll processing plus 2 years of leadership experience.
• Bachelor's degree is required. Combination of experience, education, and training may be accepted in lieu of degree.
• Degree in Business, Accounting, Human Resources, or related field preferred.
• PHR, SPHR or CPP preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee payroll processing and review the work of Payroll Analyst I and II.
• Oversee state tax registrations for payroll clients and quarterly tax filings.
• Develop policies and procedures to ensure high-quality client experiences and efficient processes.
• Manage client relationships, assist with invoicing and project management for new client setups.
