Job summary

Norfolk Southern Corp. is seeking a Payroll Business Analyst in Atlanta to join the Payroll team. The role focuses on reporting, data analysis, reconciliations, and process management across payroll functions.

You will work with Accounting and IT, review payroll records, and support external audits to ensure accuracy and compliance. The ideal candidate has 1–2 years of experience (3–5 preferred) and a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree preferred in accounting, finance, or business.
• 1–2 years minimum experience; 3–5 years preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate design and manage implementation of new systems or business processes.
• Serve as liaison between Accounting, IT, and client departments.
• Review payroll records, GL reporting, analysis and reconciliation.
• Generate reporting and provide analysis for other departments and external entities.
• Respond to ad hoc data requests and audit requests.
• Support payroll security processes by reviewing access controls.
