Job summary

Prisma Health in Columbia, SC is hiring a Payroll Specialist to join the Corporate Payroll department. You will perform payroll processing bi-weekly, balance and audit timekeeping in UKG/Workday, and educate managers and employees on pay policies and deductions.

The role requires 5 years of payroll experience and an associate degree in Accounting or related field; high school + 10 years also considered. FPC preferred. This is a full-time on-site position with standard day shifts.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Accounting, Business Administration or related field.
• Five years of payroll experience required.
• High school diploma with ten years of payroll experience considered in lieu of education.
• FPC certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform payroll processing and record keeping to ensure timely bi-weekly payroll.
• Edit and maintain data in Workday Payroll and UKG Timekeeping systems.
• Educate managers, timekeepers and employees on payroll policies and deductions.
• Balance and audit timekeeping records to ensure accuracy.
• Assist with on-demand checks, retro payments, and wage adjustments.
• Support HRIS and banking contacts to resolve payroll inquiries.
