Job summary

Qualifications

• Requires a high school diploma or GED.
• Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in human resources, accounting or related field preferred.
• Requires a valid driver’s license, safe driving record, and current auto insurance.
• Five years payroll experience without a degree or three years with a degree; multi-state payroll experience required.
• Experience with current HRIS system preferred.
• Excellent to advanced Microsoft Excel skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and process semi-monthly payroll for exempt and non-exempt employees.
• Review timesheets, vacation and sick balances; manage garnishments and tax withholdings.
• Assist with payroll tax filings, reconciliations, and year-end processes (W‑2).
• Enter payroll data, maintain employee files, and ensure timely reporting.
• Collaborate with HR, Finance, and external payroll providers to resolve discrepancies.
• Support payroll-related accounting activities and respond to employee inquiries.
