Job summary

ArcBest is seeking a Payroll Coordinator to process compensation for hourly employees, ensuring compliance with labor contracts and wage laws. The role requires accurate data handling, payroll system updates, and coordination with field staff to collect timekeeping information.

The position involves supporting various payroll schedules, handling holidays, and maintaining confidential employee records with a high degree of accuracy. Bachelor’s degree is preferred, and some experience is welcomed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent experience.
• Experience accepted in lieu of formal education.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and 10-Key.

Responsibilities

• Process compensation for hourly employees per contracts and laws.
• Update payroll systems with new hires, changes, terminations.
• Review time and attendance data for accurate payroll.
• Mail and distribute payroll and approve PTO.
• Interpret labor contracts to determine wage payments.
• Assist field and service center staff with timekeeping data.
• Support payroll holidays and irregular hours.
• Other duties as assigned.
