Scottsdale Unified School District is seeking a payroll clerk to perform stand-alone payroll processing and related duties. Responsibilities include reviewing timesheets, responding to questions, data input, and preparing reports.
The role requires attention to detail and ensuring payroll accuracy within established guidelines. Ideal candidates will have a high school diploma or GED with bookkeeping or payroll experience, strong computer skills, and the ability to meet strict payroll deadlines.
This stand-alone classification performs a variety of duties in the processing of payroll for the organization. Duties include: completing and reviewing timesheets; responding to employee and supervisor questions and resolving routine issues; performing data input; preparing required reports; and maintaining related records.
High School Diploma, or G.E.D., completion of additional bookkeeping coursework and three years of basic accounting or payroll experience; or, an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed above.

Sedentary Work: Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally and all other sedentary criteria are met.
Incumbents may be subjected to moving mechanical parts, odors, chemicals, extreme temperatures, inadequate lighting, workspace restrictions, and intense noises.
