JVS SOCAL is seeking a Payroll Coordinator to support semi-monthly payrolls under the Director of People & Culture. You will process payroll, generate required reports, and maintain records while ensuring compliance with Federal, State, and CA payroll laws.
The role requires Paycom experience, strong Excel skills, and the ability to work independently or in a team. This is a hands-on, detail-oriented position within a nonprofit, social-service setting.
The primary duties of the Payroll Coordinator, under the supervision of the Director of People & Culture, will be to prepare semi-monthly payrolls, complete required reports, compiles payroll information and maintain required records
While performing the essential functions of this job, the individual must be able to do the following: stand for extended periods; sit for extended periods; bend and reach for filing and other job-related functions; climb up and down stairs; bend, stoop, and lift to move and retrieve materials; pull, push, and lift; reach both above and below shoulder height. Specific visual abilities include close vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Must be able to visually inspect work. Manual dexterity to operate computer and other office equipment required.
