Job summary

Priority1 is hiring a Payroll Compliance Specialist in Arkansas to support accurate and timely compensation payments for employees. The role reports to the Payroll Supervisor and supports domestic less-than-truckload and truckload operations across North America.

The candidate will handle timekeeping, compute pay with leaves/overtime, resolve discrepancies, maintain records, and perform payroll audits while safeguarding confidentiality.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting.
• 2+ years of payroll experience preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Analytical with a strong attention to detail.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Knowledge of Workday a plus.

Responsibilities

• Collecting and verifying timekeeping information for all applicable employees.
• Calculating compensation according to hours worked incorporating leaves and overtime.
• Resolving payroll discrepancies by collecting and analyzing information.
• Updating employee payroll records by entering changes in exemptions, insurance coverage, savings deductions, and job title and department/division transfers.
• Conducting payroll audits and answering employee payroll inquiries.
• Maintaining confidentiality and integrity of employee payroll information.
• Other projects and tasks assigned.
• Communicating with management on timekeeping anomalies.
