Priority-1, Inc. in Little Rock, AR is seeking a Payroll Compliance Specialist to ensure accurate and timely compensation payments.

You will collect timekeeping data, calculate pay including leaves and overtime, and resolve discrepancies while updating payroll records. Qualifications include a Bachelor’s in accounting, 2+ years payroll experience, strong communication skills, and proficiency with Word and Excel; knowledge of Workday is a plus.

These talented men and women drive our business, and we are committed to their success. **Summary:** The Payroll Compliance Specialist will report directly to the Payroll Supervisor and will be responsible for assisting with accurate and timely compensation payments to employees. Priority-1 specializes in consulting and managing domestic less than truckload and truckload operations for small to large shippers across North America. **Job Responsibilities:** * Collecting and verifying timekeeping information for all applicable employees* Calculating compensation according to hours worked incorporating leaves and overtime* Resolving payroll discrepancies by collecting and analyzing information* Updating employee payroll records by entering changes in exemptions, insurance coverage, savings deductions, and job title and department/division transfers.* Conducting payroll audits and answering employee payroll inquiries* Maintaining confidentiality and integrity of employee payroll information* Other projects and tasks assigned* Communicating with management on timekeeping anomalies. **Job Requirements:** * Bachelor’s degree in accounting* 2 or more years of payroll experience preferred* Excellent verbal and written communication skills* Analytical with a strong attention to detail* Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel* Knowledge of Workday a plus **Pay & Benefits** * $19-20/hour commensurate on experience* Medical Insurance with premiums paid at 100% for employees AND dependents* Dental Insurance 100% paid for Employee* Vision Insurance* HSA with Employer Contributions* Life Insurance* Short Term Disability* Long Term Disability* 401(k) Plan* Profit Sharing: Typical annual contribution of 15% of total eligible compensation* Paid Holidays AND PTO* Cancer, Critical Illness, and Accident Policies available **Physical Requirements:**Job functions require long periods of sitting and working from computer workstation; ability to multi-task, problem solve, and prioritize daily workload; excellent organization and record keeping skills; comfortable with oral and written communications, primarily on the telephone and email.
