Qualifications

• 3–5 years of payroll experience
• Strong understanding of payroll taxes and compliance requirements
• Experience reconciling payroll with the general ledger
• Familiarity with HRIS and accounting software integrations
• Excellent Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP)

Responsibilities

• Participate in payroll processing cycle ensuring accuracy
• Analyze payroll data for trends and cost factors
• Produce and maintain payroll reports for Finance and HR
• Assist in month-end, quarter-end, and year-end payroll closing
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll tax regulations
• Review tax filings and payments for accuracy
• Support multi-state payroll regulations and jurisdictional setups
• Assist in payroll audits and documentation
• Identify opportunities to improve payroll processes and controls
• Collaborate with HR, Finance, Accounting, and IT to ensure data integrity and system efficiency
