Job summary

H&M is seeking a Payroll Compliance Administrator in New Jersey to support payroll operations, audit controls, and tax regulatory compliance. This hybrid role collaborates with the Payroll and People teams to ensure accurate processing and timely tax filings.

You will review state/local tax rules, update tax rates, and assist in annual audits while maintaining payroll data integrity and confidentiality. Prioritization and strong communication are essential for success.

Qualifications

• 2-4 years of payroll, payroll tax, compliance, or related experience
• Experience at large, fast-paced organizations preferred
• Understanding of federal, state, and local payroll tax requirements
• Strong analytical and auditing skills with attention to detail
• Proficiency in Excel and MS Office applications

Responsibilities

• Assist with payroll processing and administrative payroll functions
• Enter and process payroll corrections accurately and timely
• Support final pay processes for states requiring immediate payout
• Monitor payroll tax updates and regulatory changes
• Conduct payroll tax data audits and reconciliations
• Assist with payroll tax filings and documentation for audits
