Job summary

Bonland Industries, Inc is seeking a detail-oriented Payroll & Compliance Administrator to manage weekly payroll processing and ensure compliance with union, prevailing wage, and regulatory requirements. This role emphasizes accuracy, confidentiality, and strong organizational skills within a growing employee-owned ESOP environment.

The position focuses on handling weekly payroll cycles, maintaining payroll records, preparing required payroll reports, and ensuring compliance with applicable wage

Qualifications

  • Experience processing payroll in a union and/or prevailing wage environment.
  • Knowledge of payroll tax reporting, certified payroll, and labor compliance requirements.
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage confidential information.
  • Proficiency with payroll systems and Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple deadlines and work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Process weekly payroll, including new hires, terminations, pay changes, deductions, garnishments, and leave balances.
  • Maintain accurate employee payroll and personnel records.
  • Prepare certified payroll, prevailing wage reports, union fringe reports, payroll tax reconciliations, W-2s, and other required payroll reports.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, collective bargaining agreements, and federal, state, and local payroll regulations.
  • Coordinate payroll documentation for audits and employment verification requests.
  • Track union dues, fringe benefits, and prevailing wage updates.
  • Assist with payroll-related banking activities and maintain organized payroll records.
  • Provide backup support for Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and other administrative functions.
  • Support special projects and other duties as assigned by the Controller.

We’re currently seeking a detail-oriented Payroll & Compliance Administrator to manage weekly payroll processing and ensure compliance with union, prevailing wage, and regulatory requirements. Key Responsibilities
