Job summary

Network for Hope is seeking a Payroll Staff Accountant in Louisville, KY to oversee payroll processing, reconcile benefits, and manage time and attendance with HR support. The role requires 3–5 years of payroll or accounting experience and at least an associate degree, with a bachelor’s preferred. CPA is a plus.

You will prepare monthly payroll reports, train new staff, and ensure compliance with wage and hour laws while supporting audits and journal entries.

Qualifications

• Education: minimum associate degree; bachelor’s preferred in accounting, business or related field.
• Experience: 3–5 years in payroll or accounting; CPA license or intent preferred.
• Experience with electronic payroll processing, including multi-state processing.
• Strong Excel and MS Office skills; highly detail‑oriented.

Responsibilities

• Oversee payroll processing to ensure timely, accurate, and compliant runs.
• Prepare monthly payroll reports for department managers.
• Train staff on timecard and payroll systems; respond to inquiries.
• Review expense reports; generate monthly journal entries.
• Assist with annual audits and payroll tax compliance.
• Support benefits reconciliation and WC audits as needed.
