Job summary

Fresh Mark Inc. is seeking a Payroll Specialist to join our Massillon, Ohio team. This hourly role handles weekly and bi-weekly payroll using UKG and Time and Attendance Enterprise, with focus on accuracy and compliance.

Ideal candidates have about 1 year of payroll experience, familiarity with UKG/UltiPro, and strong Excel skills to prepare reports and balance payroll data across multiple sites.

Qualifications

• 1 year of recent payroll experience; UKG/UltiPro knowledge a plus.
• Experience with federal and state garnishments and levies.
• Knowledge of state/local taxes.
• Proficient with Excel, Word, Outlook and UKG tooling.

Responsibilities

• Process all payroll paperwork including W-4s and deductions.
• Upload and verify payroll files in UKG.
• Process bi-weekly payroll and coordinate with UKG processing.
• Serve as liaison to HR and UKG on payroll issues.
• Prepare and balance payroll spreadsheets bi-weekly, monthly, yearly.
• Generate monthly and quarterly payroll reports as needed.
• Prepare G/L download and upload files for all companies.

Job description

Fresh Mark Inc. is looking for a Payroll Specialist to join our Massillon, Ohio team. This hourly position is responsible for the preparation and disbursement of a weekly and bi-weekly payroll using UKG internet payroll service and Time and Attendance Enterprise.

Preferred candidates will have recent experience processing payroll for employee groups of 200 or more.

Key Accountabilities

• Process all paperwork (W-4, general deductions, direct deposit, 401K changes, local taxes, garnishment and levy’s) received from the assigned locations in a timely manner.
• Upload and verify the payroll file for processing into the UKG payroll system.
• Process and accept the bi-weekly payroll file.
• Load and receive the files back from UKG processing.
• Serves as a liaison to the HR Representatives and UKG regarding payroll related issues.
• Research and resolve any issue that arises regarding payroll.
• Prepare manual check request payments for pay cards.
• Prepare and balance the payroll spreadsheets on a bi-weekly, monthly and yearly base.
• Prepare bi-weekly G/L download and upload files (Barnett, 401K, and NO3) for all companies.
• Collect and send quarterly payroll data to the states for multiple worksites reporting, verify UKG master file updates.
• Prepare monthly reports Head Count, State of Deposit, COBRA Credit, US Dept of Labor Reports and other special projects as needed.

Requirements

• High School Diploma
• 1 year of recent payroll experience. Knowledge of UKG/UltiPro is a plus.
• Experience with Federal and State Garnishment and levies.
• Knowledge of State and Local Taxes helpful.
• Knowledge of software programs such as Excel, MS Word, Outlook, UKG System, UKG Reporting, Money Network and Report Smith.
• Knowledge of computer, spreadsheets and databases.
• Knowledge of payroll policies and procedures for multiple states and Federal guidelines
