Your daily tasks include entering payroll data, verifying calculations, and resolving discrepancies. You will also prepare and distribute paychecks, maintain payroll records, and assist in tax filings.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent, with at least 1-2 years of experience in payroll or a related field.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record-keeping.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word.
• Basic understanding of payroll laws, regulations, and procedures.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work well in a team environment.
• Ability to meet tight deadlines and work under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Process and verify payroll information, including wages, deductions, and taxes, to ensure accuracy and compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
• Maintain and update employee records, including personal information, job details, and compensation data.
• Prepare and distribute paychecks, direct deposits, and other payment methods as required.
• Assist in the preparation of payroll reports and other financial documents.
• Provide assistance to the payroll manager in resolving payroll-related issues and inquiries.
• Stay up-to-date with changes in payroll laws and regulations, and ensure compliance with all relevant requirements.
