Express Employment Professionals is recruiting for a Payroll Specialist to join our client’s team in Klamath Falls, OR on a temporary basis with full-time hours. This role emphasizes accurate payroll processing, reporting, and compliance.

You will prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual payroll reports, reconcile deductions, and handle confidential information while ensuring timely payroll delivery and adherence to regulations. Experience with Springbrook Payroll is a plus.

• Current Oregon driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual payroll reports for state and federal agencies.
• Reconcile payroll deductions, benefits, vendor invoices, and payroll liability accounts.
• Complete required payroll tax and regulatory reporting, including quarterly and annual reports.
• Research and resolve payroll discrepancies and make corrections as needed.
• Process third-party payroll payments and related documentation.
• Assist with PERS reporting.
• Support Payroll Clerk I duties when needed.
• Maintain accurate payroll records and ensure compliance with applicable policies, regulations, and agreements.
• Respond to payroll-related questions and requests for information.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

What You’ll Do

• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual payroll reports for state and federal agencies.

Schedule & Requirements

• Full-time, Monday-Friday


• 8-hour shifts; exact schedule determined by management


• Must be dependable and consistently punctual


• Successful candidate must pass a criminal background check


• Drug screening may be required
