Responsibilities

• Process payroll timely and accurately.
• Maintain time collection system and track absenteeism, punches, and call-ins.
• Process and track leave: vacation, holidays, disability and other absences.
• Process new hires and distribute benefits; update company policies.
• Maintain personnel files, safety and training records; fill temporary positions as needed.
• Prepare weekly/monthly payroll reports for accounting; ensure confidentiality.

Job Summary

We are looking for a Payroll Clerk to join our team. The Payroll Clerk’s duties include, but are not limited to:

• Process payroll timely & accurate
• Maintain the time collection system, track absenteeism, employee points, punches & call‑ins
• Process & track vacation days, floating holidays, disability & other absence requests
• Process new hires
• Distribute benefit packages as employees qualify
• Update & issue company policies
• Maintain personnel files, safety & training records
• Fill temporary staff positions as requested
• Prepare weekly/monthly payroll reports for accounting
• Must be self-directed & motivated; ability to work with little/no supervision.
• Maintain the integrity of the payroll department by keeping all personnel information confidential

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED
• Associate Degree in Business is preferred
• Experience with payroll software and payroll processing thru ADP
• Prior experience in an office environment, preferably in manufacturing or industry
