State of Wisconsin - Department of Administration is seeking a Payroll & Benefits Specialist for Chippewa Valley Correctional Treatment Facility in Chippewa Falls, WI. The role covers bi-weekly payroll, fringe benefits, and leave accounting for about 200 employees, with potential coverage across Wisconsin during vacancies.

The position offers entry or advanced levels (81-05 / 81-04) with starting pay from $20.00/hour to $37.17/hour.

Formación

• Experience with payroll processing and auditing timesheets.
• Provide technical assistance and/or consultation relating to payroll, benefits, and HR functions to employees/customers.
• Creating and managing reports, memos, etc. for professional settings.
• Experience with payroll and benefits information systems such as PeopleSoft, Kronos, QuickBooks, and ADP.
• Experience training employees to payroll, benefits, and HR topics.
• Experience with State of Wisconsin payroll and benefits processes, policies, and procedures.

Responsabilidades

• Prepare complex bi-weekly payroll, fringe benefits, and leave accounting for ~200 employees.
• Cover payroll/benefits responsibilities at other institutions in Wisconsin during absences or vacancies.
• Prepare and maintain reports and assist employees with wages and benefits.
• Coordinate HR processes including employment relations, HR records, and related duties.
