Job summary

Raba Kistner, Inc. is seeking a Payroll and Benefits Coordinator to join our San Antonio team. This role administers benefits and payroll, maintains HRIS data, and supports controls and reporting.

The ideal candidate holds a bachelor’s degree and 1–2 years of related experience, with strong Excel and communication skills; CEBS/CPP/SHRM-CP preferred.

You will collaborate with the Payroll & Benefits Manager and participate in open enrollment, COBRA, ACA and audits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, or related field from an accredited four year university or college.
• 1–2 years of administrative, payroll, benefits, accounting, human resources, or related experience preferred.
• CEBS, CPP and/or SHRM-CP certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Administer payroll and benefits data and HRIS activities under the Payroll & Benefits Manager.
• Enter and maintain payroll and benefits data, including deductions, elections, direct-deposit info, tax forms, garnishments, and adjustments.
• Review forms for completeness and route exceptions for review and approval.
• Assist with payroll preparation by collecting time data, reconciling, and organizing payroll documentation.
• Support new-hire, employee-change, leave, and termination processing in payroll, benefits, and HRIS systems.
• Coordinate routine benefit enrollments, changes, and terminations and send correspondence and materials.
• Answer routine payroll/benefits questions and escalate complex issues to appropriate team members.
