Job summary

Saela Pest Control is seeking a Payroll & Benefits Specialist to oversee accurate, timely, and compliant administration of payroll, benefits, and retirement programs. This role partners with HR, Finance, leadership, vendors, and external agencies to deliver high-quality payroll services while improving systems and processes and the employee experience.

The ideal candidate has 2-4 years of payroll/benefits experience, a strong attention to detail, and the ability to handle confidential

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 2-4 years of experience administering payroll and employee benefits.
• Strong knowledge of payroll practices, taxation, and compliance across federal, state, and local levels.
• Experience with payroll and HRIS systems including updates, reporting, and troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

• Execute end-to-end payroll processing for all employees, including time entries, wages, deductions, garnishments, and adjustments.
• Post payroll entries to the general ledger and perform payroll reconciliations.
• Monitor payroll cycles to meet deadlines and approvals.
• Administer employee benefit programs and retirement plans, including enrollments and changes.
• Coordinate open enrollment and support plan changes with timely communication.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations and support audits.
