Job summary

Aleut Federal is seeking a Payroll Specialist to process all payroll aspects, ensure accuracy, and maintain compliance with government regulations. The role requires attention to detail and timely reporting in a hybrid Anchorage-based setting with multiple office locations.

Responsibilities include processing timecards, deductions, and benefits, reconciling to ledgers, and supporting audits. Prior payroll experience and knowledge of Costpoint/UKG are preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience in payroll processing and tax/deduction accuracy.
• Knowledge of federal/state payroll regulations and internal controls.
• Ability to reconcile payroll with the general ledger.

Responsibilities

• Process all aspects of payroll accurately and timely.
• Prepare payroll reports and benefit payments (health, pension, union dues).
• Ensure proper payroll tax postings and deductions.
