Job summary

Aleut Federal, an Alaskan Native-owned enterprise, is seeking a payroll specialist to manage all aspects of payroll. This hybrid role located in Anchorage (and other offices) ensures accurate, timely processing and compliance with government regulations.

You will handle timecards, deductions, benefits, and reporting, support audits, and provide management analyses. We value integrity, accountability, and teamwork, offering health insurance, PTO, disability coverage, life insurance, and a 401(k)

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required; associate or bachelor's preferred.
• Two years of payroll processing experience with compliance.
• Experience with Costpoint and UKG is preferred.
• Knowledge of federal and state payroll regulations and taxes.

Responsibilities

• Process all aspects of payroll including timecards and payroll deductions.
• Prepare benefit reports and payments (health, pension, etc.).
• Reconcile payroll to general ledger and bank statements.
• Support audits and government compliance.
• Issue checks or direct deposits as needed.
• Provide ad hoc reports and analyses.
