Job summary

Reinvestment Fund seeks a Payroll & Benefits Manager to lead payroll, benefits, and HR operations. You will ensure accurate multi-state payroll, compliant tax filings, and comprehensive benefit administration for two entities.

The role requires 5+ years in payroll/benefits, strong Excel skills, and experience with HRIS and ERP systems. This position supports a mission-driven organization with remote-friendly options within the Eastern Time Zone.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Accounting, Business Administration, Finance, or related field, or equivalent combo.
• 5+ years of progressive experience in payroll, benefits administration, and HR operations.
• Extensive experience processing multi-state payroll.
• Strong knowledge of payroll tax regulations, ACA, HIPAA, COBRA, ERISA, FMLA, and related laws.
• Experience with HRIS, payroll, timekeeping, and accounting systems.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and reporting tools.

Responsibilities

• Administer multi-state semi-monthly payroll for two companies.
• Oversee payroll system administration and reconciliation processes.
• Manage payroll tax filings and year-end tasks (W-2s).
• Administer health and welfare benefit programs including ACA reporting.
