Job summary

Klarna is seeking a Payroll & Benefits Specialist based in New York. You will own payroll and benefits administration for a defined market, ensuring accurate cycles and timely enrollments. You’ll collaborate with People, Finance, and external vendors to stay compliant with local tax and labor rules.

You’ll identify and fix recurring issues, maintain records, and improve processes. Prior experience with Workday or ADP is essential for success in this role.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in payroll administration or combined payroll/benefits roles.
• Strong understanding of US payroll tax withholding and benefits compliance.
• Experience with payroll systems (Workday, ADP) and data reconciliation.

Responsibilities

• Process and validate payroll runs for assigned markets in the US.
• Administer employee benefits enrollment, changes, and terminations; resolve questions.
• Reconcile payroll and benefits data with HR systems and financial ledgers; fix discrepancies.
