The Payroll & Benefits Administrator will manage bi-weekly payroll for hourly and salaried staff, oversee benefits programs, and ensure regulatory compliance while working closely with HR, Finance, and Accounting in a hybrid

Qualifications

  • Minimum of three (3) years of payroll administration experience.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of HR, payroll, benefits, or related administrative experience.
  • Experience processing payroll for 200+ employees.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel; strong organizational and communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Process bi-weekly payroll for hourly and salaried employees.
  • Review, validate, and audit payroll data, including hours worked, earnings, deductions, taxes, and benefit contributions.
  • Research and resolve payroll discrepancies, timekeeping issues, and employee payroll inquiries.
  • Ensure payroll records are accurate and maintained in compliance with policies and laws.
  • Prepare payroll reports, reconciliations, and related documentation.
  • Support year-end payroll activities, including W-2 preparation and auditing.
  • Administer employee benefit programs, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, disability plans, and retirement benefits.
  • Coordinate with benefits brokers and vendors regarding eligibility, billing, and plan administration.
  • Assist with HR projects and onboarding/offboarding processes as needed.
  • Provide administrative support for HR programs, recruiting activities, and employee communications.

Position Summary

LCPtracker is seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Payroll & Benefits Administrator to join our Human Resources team. This role is responsible for ensuring the accurate and timely processing of payroll and supporting the administration of employee benefits programs. The Payroll & Benefits Administrator serves as a key resource for employees regarding payroll, benefits, and related compliance matters while maintaining the highest level of confidentiality and accuracy.

This position works closely with Human Resources, Finance, and Accounting to ensure payroll and benefits processes are administered efficiently and in compliance with applicable federal, state, and local regulations. While payroll and benefits administration are the primary responsibilities, additional HR-related duties may be assigned as business needs require, including onboarding, recruiting support, HR coordination, and special projects.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities
Payroll Administration
  • Process bi-weekly payroll for hourly and salaried employees.
  • Review, validate, and audit payroll data, including hours worked, earnings, deductions, taxes, and benefit contributions.
  • Research and resolve payroll discrepancies, timekeeping issues, and employee payroll inquiries.
  • Ensure payroll records are accurate and maintained in accordance with company policies and legal requirements.
  • Prepare payroll reports, reconciliations, and related documentation.
  • Support year-end payroll activities, including W-2 preparation and auditing.
Benefits Administration
  • Administer employee benefit programs, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, disability plans, and retirement benefits.
  • Process benefit enrollments, terminations, and qualifying life event changes.
  • Maintain employee benefit records and ensure data accuracy within HRIS systems.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for employee benefit questions and issue resolution.
  • Coordinate with benefits brokers and vendors regarding eligibility, billing, and plan administration.
Compliance and Reporting
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll and benefits regulations.
  • Conduct payroll and benefits audits to maintain data integrity and compliance.
  • Assist with reporting requirements and documentation related to payroll, benefits, and HR compliance initiatives.
  • Maintain confidentiality of employee payroll, compensation, benefits, and personnel information.
HR Support
  • Assist with HR projects and process improvement initiatives from planning through implementation.
  • Support onboarding and offboarding processes as needed.
  • Provide administrative support for HR programs, recruiting activities, and employee communications.

Work Environment

This position performs its duties from the New Braunfels, TX office. The role operates in a professional office environment and routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, mobile devices, and related technology.

Physical Requirements

While performing the functions of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; frequently required to talk and hear, use hands and fingers to type, scroll and use computer equipment. The employee is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer and multiple screens; extensive reading; visual inspection of text/data in both print and electronic forms.

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time non-exempt position. Days and hours worked are dependent on business needs and workload. General availability during regular business hours, Monday through Friday, is expected. Based on the candidate and /or position, a hybrid work arrangement may be considered; however, a minimum of three (3) or more days per week in the office is required to support executive collaboration, leadership presence, and cross-functional engagement. Some flexibility is allowed. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.

Travel

There is no major travel requirement for this position. However, infrequent travel may be necessary to visit remote office(s), attend conferences/industry events, etc. Attendance at our corporate Staff Retreat is required. This event is a 2-3-day retreat. Attendance at our annual User Conference as assigned.

Salary Range

This is an hourly paid position. The hourly rate is between $29.00 - $33.00 per hour. Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
