The Pennsylvania State University seeks a detail-oriented Payroll Supervisor to oversee payroll operations, ensure accuracy, and lead the payroll team.

Responsibilities include:

  1. Supervising the payroll department
  2. Ensuring compliance with regulations and timely processing of payroll for all employees and students
  3. Generating payroll forms such as W-2/W-2c
  4. Collaborating with HR, Finance, and other departments on payroll inquiries and issues

This role involves providing excellent customer service via various communication channels and handling sensitive questions.

Minimum qualifications include an Associate’s Degree or higher plus 4 years of relevant experience, or equivalent education and experience. Experience in payroll, knowledge of payroll practices, taxes, and gross-to-net calculations are required. Familiarity with Workday is preferred.

The position offers flexible work arrangements, combining remote and on-campus work (at least two days on-site). Questions about flexible work should be directed during the interview.

A successful credit history check will be required due to fiduciary responsibilities, along with standard background checks.
