Job summary

LifeMD, Inc. is seeking a Payroll Associate to support our growing finance team. You will oversee payroll processing, ensure on-time and accurate pay, and maintain records for compliance under federal, state, and local laws.

Reporting to the Payroll Manager, you will handle data entry, assist with month-end closing, audits, and respond to payroll inquiries while leveraging Google Workspace and Rippling HRIS.

Qualifications

• Two to three years of related experience required.
• Knowledge of payroll function including preparation, reconciliation, internal controls (SOX), vacation policies, and payroll taxes.
• Proficient with Google Office Suite.
• Proficient with payroll software and expense report software; Rippling HRIS experience is a plus.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Human Resources, or related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and review payroll processing systems to ensure timely and accurate processing of payroll transactions including new hires, terms, salaries, hourly wages/timecards, benefits, garnishments, taxes, other deductions, and direct deposits.
• Prepares and maintains accurate records and reports of payroll transactions.
• Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local payroll, wage, and hour laws.
• Facilitates audits by providing records and documentation to auditors.
• Responds to routine inquiries concerning payroll deductions and accruals, wage garnishments, and preparation of off cycle pay.
• Assists in the preparation of journal entries and month-end reports.
• Oversees tax compliance by payroll provider and provides resolution of routine tax notices and changes to tax requirements.
• Reconciles all payroll-related accounts and activities.

About the Role

LifeMD is looking for a passionate, self-starter with strong technical accounting aptitude to join our rapidly growing company as Payroll Associate. The position reports directly to the Payroll Manager. The Payroll Associate will assist in the oversight and data entry for the organization’s payroll functions, ensuring pay is processed on time, accurately, and in compliance with all government regulations.
