Job summary

LHH Recruitment Solutions is partnering with our client in Colerain Township, Ohio to hire a Payroll & Accounts Payable Clerk. This role is ideal for an experienced accounting professional with a strong background in both payroll processing and accounts payable.

You will manage weekly and multi-period payroll, verify deductions and taxes, process vendor invoices, and assist with month-end close in a fast-paced environment. Confidentiality and accuracy are essential.

Qualifications

• 3-4 years of recent payroll and accounts payable experience.
• Experience processing payroll for multiple employees in a high-volume environment.
• Strong understanding of payroll procedures, taxes, and deductions.
• Experience with invoice processing, vendor management, and account reconciliation.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and accounting software systems.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality with sensitive employee and financial information.

Responsibilities

• Process weekly, bi-weekly, or semi-monthly payroll accurately and on schedule.
• Review employee time records and ensure payroll data is complete and accurate.
• Maintain payroll records and assist with payroll-related inquiries.
• Verify payroll deductions, benefits, and tax withholdings.
• Process vendor invoices and ensure timely payments.
• Match invoices to purchase orders and supporting documentation.
• Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies.
• Maintain accurate accounts payable records and documentation.
• Assist with month-end closing activities and account reconciliations.
• Communicate with vendors and internal departments regarding payment issues.
• Generate payroll and accounts payable reports as needed.
• Support other accounting and administrative functions as assigned.
