Job summary

Rodenhiser Home Services, Inc. is seeking a detail-oriented Staff Accountant II to own weekly payroll and assist Accounts Payable for a multi-trade home services firm.

You will partner with the Controller and Finance team to keep payroll and payables accurate and on time as the company grows. The role requires 2+ years payroll experience, a Bachelor's in accounting, strong Excel skills, and familiarity with Sage Intacct and ServiceTitan are preferred.

Qualifications

• 2+ years payroll experience
• Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office with strong Excel
• Experience with Sage Intacct and/or ServiceTitan (preferred)
• Strong attention to detail, confidentiality, and integrity
• Ability to work independently and make decisions within established policies

Responsibilities

• Process weekly payroll and determine cash requirements.
• Verify technician commission sheets against submitted jobs.
• Review timecards for accuracy and escalate exceptions.
• Track incentive programs and include them in payroll.
• Ensure timely 401(k) contributions and reconcile loans.
• AP: monitor mailbox, process vendor invoices, and match PO invoices.
• Maintain vendor W-9s and certificates of insurance; prevent fraud.
• Support month-end close and year-end 1099 preparation.
