PWS Employment is recruiting a Senior Payroll & HR Compliance Analyst to join a dynamic Compensation & Benefits team in Kansas City. You will own end-to-end payroll accuracy, ensure tax compliance, and collaborate with Finance to reconcile payroll data.

The role requires deep knowledge of FMLA, ADA, and multi-state wage laws, with hands-on experience in UKG Pro and HRIS systems. A strong focus on audits, reporting, and process improvements is essential.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in payroll, leave management and HR compliance.
• Strong knowledge of payroll taxes and payroll compliance utilizing UKG Pro.
• Hands-on experience with FMLA, ADA and leave administration.
• Experience with HRIS and payroll systems; 401K administration.
• Bachelor's degree in a related field; certification a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end payroll processing and accuracy.
• Ensure Federal, state, and local payroll tax compliance.
• Perform payroll reconciliation and reporting with Finance/Accounting.
• Ensure wage and hour compliance.
• Administer 401K plan administration.
• Manage FMLA, ADA and other leave programs.
• Oversee HRIS data integrity, reporting, and analytics.
• Conduct payroll and HR compliance audits.
• Drive process improvement and automation.

** PWS Employment is recruiting a Senior Payroll & HR Compliance Analyst** for an organization looking for someone who can bring expertise, accuracy and strong judgment to a critical Compensation & Benefits team.

This isn't simply a "process payroll" position.

We're looking for someone who understands what happens behind the numbers — taxes, compliance, leave administration, audits, reporting, systems and the regulations that have to be right every single time.

WHAT YOU'LL OWN

You'll play a lead role across:

• End-to-end payroll processing and accuracy
• Federal, state and local payroll tax compliance
• Payroll reconciliation and reporting with Finance/Accounting
• Wage and hour compliance
• 401K plan administration
• FMLA, ADA and other statutory/company leave programs
• Employee benefits administration within the HRIS
• HRIS data integrity, reporting and analytics
• Payroll and HR compliance audits
• Process improvement and automation
• SOP development and documentation
• Employee and manager guidance on payroll and leave questions
• Training and supporting junior team members

You'll also work across HR, Finance, Accounting, IT and outside vendors to solve issues and continually improve how payroll and HR processes operate.

WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR

** 5+ years of experience** in payroll, leave management and HR compliance, along with:

• Strong knowledge of payroll taxes and payroll compliance utilizing UKG Pro
• Hands-on experience with FMLA, ADA and leave administration
• Experience with HRIS and payroll systems
• Hands on 401K facilitation and administration
• Knowledge of wage-and-hour requirements
• Experience auditing payroll, benefits or HR data
• Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills
• Ability to communicate confidently with employees, managers and leadership
• Bachelor's degree in a related field
