Job summary

RSI Community is seeking a Payroll & Accounts Payable Specialist to join the Finance team. You will help ensure residents and staff are paid on time and vendors are paid promptly, while maintaining accuracy and confidentiality.

The role focuses on bi-weekly payroll, accounts payable processing, and supporting month-end close and audits in a nonprofit setting.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Payroll Management: Manage bi-weekly payroll across homes and programs.
  • Payroll cycles: Review and post cycles through UKG and the accounting system.
  • Resolve timekeeping and pay questions with employees.
  • Collaborate with HR on employee changes, benefits deductions, and tax reporting.
  • Accounts Payable: Manage vendor invoices and payments.
  • Ensure accurate coding and timely processing.
  • Work with program leadership on staffing costs and financial details.
  • Finance & Compliance: Support month-end close.
  • Assist with audit preparation.
  • Maintain accuracy, discretion, and confidentiality with sensitive information.
  • Keep multiple deadlines moving efficiently.

Are you detail-oriented, organized, and experienced in payroll and accounting? RSI Community is looking for a Payroll & Accounts Payable Specialist to join our Finance team and help keep our operations running smoothly.

Your work ensures that the dedicated people who support our residents are paid accurately and on time—and that our vendors and partners receive the same care and attention.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Payroll Management
  • Manage bi-weekly payroll across our homes and programs.
  • Review and post payroll cycles through UKG and our accounting system.
  • Resolve timekeeping and pay questions with employees.
  • Collaborate with HR on employee changes, benefits deductions, and tax reporting.
Accounts Payable
  • Manage vendor invoices and payments.
  • Ensure accurate coding and timely processing.
  • Work with program leadership on staffing costs and financial details.
Finance & Compliance Support
  • Support month-end close.

REQUIRED:

PREFERRED:
  • Knowledge of MIP Fund Accounting.
  • General accounting background.
  • Nonprofit or human services experience.
