Job summary

CFS in Franklin, TN is seeking a Payroll Accounting Specialist to join a small, hands-on finance team supporting multi-state projects. The role focuses on accurate payroll, project billing, and essential accounting tasks in a permanent direct-hire, on-site position with competitive benefits.

You will manage multi-state payroll, enter subcontract and change orders, process AP, and assist with owner billings while working closely with leadership and project teams to ensure timely and compliant

Qualifications

• Payroll experience including multi-state payroll and tax withholding.
• At least 3 years of payroll/accounting experience.
• Proficient with Excel.
• On-site in Cool Springs (Franklin, TN).

Responsibilities

• Process multi-state payroll and related employee changes, supporting accurate pay and withholding across changing project locations.
• Maintain project accounting records by entering subcontracts, purchase orders, and change orders into the accounting system.
• Prepare owner billings and project utility bill processing with a focus on accuracy and timely submission.
• Process corporate accounts payable, credit card activity, and expense records.
• Review certified payroll submissions for applicable projects and support related compliance requirements.
