Job summary

Progyny Inc. in New York is seeking a Payroll Analyst to support day-to-day payroll operations for US and Canada using Workday.

You will partner with HR and Finance, ensure SOX and regulatory compliance, and assist with reconciliations, reporting, and continuous process improvements to scale with the company’s growth.

Strong Excel skills and 3+ years of payroll experience are required, with a bachelor’s degree preferred. This is a full-time, in-office role based in NYC.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of payroll experience with a mid-to-large size company.
• Experience with Workday HRIS is required.
• Undergraduate degree or higher preferred.
• Strong analytical, interpersonal, and communication skills.
• Proficient in advanced Excel functions (PivotTables, VLOOKUP, XLOOKUP, INDEX).

Responsibilities

• Assist with day-to-day payroll operations for salaried, hourly, and weekly equity payrolls in US/Canada.
• Ensure payroll processes comply with SOX and federal/state regulations.
• Collaborate with Accounting to reconcile payroll and support month-end close.
• Prepare monthly payroll reconciliations and provide reports for compensation planning.
• Serve as a payroll resource for employees and respond to payroll inquiries.
• Lead payroll projects and automation initiatives to scale processes.
