Responsibilities

• Process semi-monthly, multi-state US payroll, including medical benefits, FSA, ESPP, 401(k) contributions and loans.
• Manage daily stock activities such as exercise and vesting.
• Collaborate with HR on hires, terminations, leaves and changes affecting payroll.
• Maintain payroll operations in compliance with company procedures and regulations.
• Prepare payroll journal entries and assist with GL reconciliations for month-end close.
• Participate in quarterly reviews, annual audit, and SOX requests.
• Provide cross-functional support to accounting including AP and GL.
• Act as the point of contact for payroll questions.
• Assist in ad hoc requests including audits and renewals.

C3 AI is seeking a Payroll Analyst to join our team at our Redwood City offices. In this role, you will be highly involved in various aspects of the payroll processes and initiatives. Responsibilities

• Process semi-monthly, multi state US payroll, including medical benefits, FSA, ESPP, 401(k) contributions and loans.
• Manage daily stock activities such as exercise and vesting.
• Work closely with HR team on employee matters including new hires, terminations, leave of absences and other changes that affect payroll.
• Maintain payroll operations by ensuring compliance with established company procedures and federal and state regulations.
• Prepare payroll journal entries and assist with GL account reconciliations for month-end close.
• Participate in quarterly reviews, annual audit, and SOX requests.
• Provide cross-functional support to the accounting team, including AP operations and GL, as business needs require.
• Act as the point of contact for payroll related questions and inquires.
• Assist in ad hoc requests including but not limited to 401(k) audit, worker’s comp audit, insurance renewals, benefits requests, and payroll cash flows.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a similar field.
• 3+ years of experience processing U.S. payroll.
• Experience working in a high-growth company, preferably in the software industry.
• Proficiency in daily tasks but also adaptable to changing priorities.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience with NetSuite Payroll is a plus.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
