C3 AI, Inc. in Redwood City, CA is seeking a Payroll Analyst to join our team onsite. You will manage semi-monthly US payroll across states, handle benefits, ESPP, 401(k) contributions, and related processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.

You will collaborate with HR and accounting, prepare journal entries, support audits and SOX requests, and respond to payroll inquiries. The role requires a 3+ year background in US payroll, a BA/BS in accounting or finance, and strong Excel skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a similar field.
• 3+ years of experience processing U.S. payroll.
• Experience in a high-growth software company preferred.
• Strong Excel skills and ability to adapt to changing priorities.
• Experience with NetSuite Payroll is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Process semi-monthly US payroll across multiple states, including benefits such as medical, FSA, ESPP, and 401(k).
• Manage daily stock activities including exercise and vesting.
• Collaborate with HR on hires, terminations, and leave affecting payroll.
• Ensure payroll operations comply with company procedures and regulations.
• Prepare payroll journal entries and assist with month-end GL reconciliations.
• Support audits, SOX requests, and cross-functional accounting needs.
• Act as payroll contact for inquiries and ad hoc requests.

C3 AI is seeking a Payroll Analyst to join our team at our Redwood City offices. In this role, you will be highly involved in various aspects of the payroll processes and initiatives. We seek a hands-on, self-motivated individual with experience thriving in high-growth environments. This role offers an opportunity to make a significant impact within our organization.

Please note that this position is full-time and located onsite at our Redwood City office.

Responsibilities:

• Process semi-monthly, multi state US payroll, including medical benefits, FSA, ESPP, 401(k) contributions and loans.
• Manage daily stock activities such as exercise and vesting.
• Work closely with HR team on employee matters including new hires, terminations, leave of absences and other changes that affect payroll.
• Maintain payroll operations by ensuring compliance with established company procedures and federal and state regulations.
• Prepare payroll journal entries and assist with GL account reconciliations for month-end close.
• Participate in quarterly reviews, annual audit, and SOX requests.
• Provide cross-functional support to the accounting team, including AP operations and GL, as business needs require.
• Act as the point of contact for payroll related questions and inquires.
• Assist in ad hoc requests including but not limited to 401(k) audit, worker's comp audit, insurance renewals, benefits requests, and payroll cash flows.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a similar field.
• 3+ years of experience processing U.S. payroll.
• Experience working in a high-growth company, preferably in the software industry.
• Proficiency in daily tasks but also adaptable to changing priorities.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience with NetSuite Payroll is a plus.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.

California Base Pay Range

$78,000 - $99,000 USD
