Job summary

Kforce Inc. is hiring a Payroll Analyst in Los Angeles, CA. The role covers end-to-end payroll processing for multi-frequency payrolls, with emphasis on accuracy, compliance, and data integrity.

The candidate will audit HR/payroll data, manage tax regulations, and respond to employee inquiries while supporting system upgrades and ad hoc reporting. Strong Excel and communication skills are essential in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

Kforce has a client that is seeking a Payroll Analyst in Los Angeles, CA.

Responsibilities

• End-to-end processing of multi-frequency union and non-union payrolls
• Audit and reconciliation of HR and payroll data to identify and resolve discrepancies and ensure accuracy
• Payroll Analyst will ensure data is compliant with federal, state and local tax regulations including multistate taxation rules
• Reconcile payroll integration and bank files
• Provide timely and compliant response and set up of employee garnishments
• Provide ad hoc reports to internal customers as required
• Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll issues, providing timely and accurate information and resolving discrepancies
• Keep abreast of payroll related regulations
• Build and maintain strong relationships with business partners including Human Resources and IT
• As a Payroll Analyst, you will provide testing support for system upgrades and periodic tax updates
• Special projects as assigned

Requirements

• 3+ years of payroll experience in a large company setting
• Demonstrated understanding of the relationship between HR policies/programs and payroll
• Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite with intermediate level Excel skills

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
