Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Payroll and Analytics or related field with 2+ years payroll experience.
  • Payroll certification (FPC/CPP) preferred.
  • Experience processing multi-state payrolls for 10,000+ employees is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Process biweekly and supplemental payrolls accurately for multiple companies.
  • Update associate hours and payroll records; support annual deliverables.
  • Respond to payroll inquiries; investigate issues; improve standard processes.
  • Support payroll projects and mergers/acquisitions tasks including setup of records.

Payroll Analyst

Location: Fort Mill, SC

Onsite Flexibility: Remote

Contract Details

  • Position Type: Contract
  • Contract Duration: 6 months
  • Pay Rate: $35.00–$36.00 / Hour (USD)

Job Summary

This position is responsible for accurate and timely processing of biweekly and supplemental payrolls for multiple companies across the Bank. Assists in resolving pay-related inquiries, collaborating with peers and leadership as needed.

Key Responsibilities

  • Processing – Responsible for payroll processing activities on a bi-weekly, and supplemental basis. Processes job and compensation changes, leave of absence pay, manual pay adjustments, and new hire and termination pay. Updates associate hours in the time and attendance system and assists in annual deliverables.
  • Operations – Provides support for payroll operations by responding to inquiries, investigating issues, and working to improve standard practices. Assists in implementing recommended modifications and enhancements. Supports the maintenance of the Payroll Operations Manual including processes, procedures, and workflows.
  • Analysis – Sources, compiles, and interprets data. Analyzes data to validate output and ensure pay standards are met. Assists with data testing in the HR Management System.
  • Project Support – Supports both department and company-wide projects and initiatives. Supports pay administration merger and acquisition tasks including set-up of associate records, processing special payrolls, and resolving pay-related inquiries.

  • Knowledge of pay-, employee-, and tax-related regulations
  • Processing multi-state payroll over 10,000 employees
  • Knowledge of web-based Human Resources information systems (HRIS), including time and attendance
  • Experience with UKG/UltiPro, Cognos, Business Intelligence, and ServiceNow

Education Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree and 2 years of experience in Payroll and Analytics OR High School Diploma or GED and 6 years of experience in Payroll and Analytics
  • Payroll certification (FPC) or Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) certification
