Job summary

BKF Engineers, Inc. is seeking a Payroll Administrator to own payroll operations, ensure regulatory compliance, and provide accounting support across the organization.

You will manage UKG/UltiPro payroll processes, maintain Deltek Vision data, audit timesheets, and collaborate with HR on hires and changes, while upholding confidentiality and accuracy. Qualifications

• Associate’s degree plus 3-5 years payroll production experience, or equivalent combination of education & experience.
• Commitment to confidentiality & ethics with high standards.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
• Ability to manage priorities to meet stringent deadlines.
• Ability to adapt to changing priorities while maintaining poise.

Responsibilities

• Administration of payroll process using UKG/Ultipro.
• Maintain employee information in Deltek Vision System.
• Audit Timesheet for hours worked and accuracy.
• Review/verify payroll data, calculate overtime & other pay premiums.
• Manage payroll tax filings.
• Prepare payroll journals for each pay period and provide monthly financial analysis.
• Respond to routine inquiries re payroll deductions/ accruals, wage garnishments, support payments.
• Reconcile all payroll-related accounts and activities.
• Assist with labor compliance filings and documents (e.g. certified payroll).
• Interact with HR for payroll-related matters (hires, terminations, raises).
• Assist in benefit plan audits and financial audits.
• Provide impromptu analysis of payroll data.
• Stay informed of Union wage/labor/ERISA regulations.
