Qualifications

• Three (3) years of experience in bookkeeping, accounts payable or clerical work involving finances.
• One (1) year of the General Experience must have involved payroll preparation.
• Substitutions allowed include college training or 1 year as Financial Clerk for payroll duties.

Responsibilities

• Prepares biweekly regular, overtime, and supplemental payrolls.
• Reviews time and attendance records and posts hours to payroll systems.
• Verifies payroll changes and updates master files and deductions.
• Calculates gross wages and processes payroll deductions.
• Balances and reconciles payroll prelists with Central Payroll records.
• Responds to employee inquiries regarding pay and payroll practices.
• Maintains payroll files and related documentation.
