Job summary

American Portfolio Mortgage Corporation seeks a Payroll Administrator to own end-to-end payroll for our multi-state team. This on-site role ensures accurate, timely compensation processing across hourly, salaried, and incentive-based pay, in coordination with People Operations and senior leadership.

You will administer semi-monthly payroll using Paylocity, maintain state tax registrations, manage W-2s, and support monthly close and audits while protecting payroll data with the utmost

Qualifications

• 3+ years of full-cycle payroll processing experience, including multi-state payroll.
• 3+ years of experience in payroll processing with a multi-state scope.
• Knowledge of federal payroll tax law and multi-state wage and hour compliance.
• Ability to manage payroll independently with high accuracy and discretion.
• Strong Excel skills and payroll reconciliation/reporting.

Responsibilities

• Administer full-cycle, semi-monthly payroll for all employees across multiple states.
• Review timekeeping data and coordinate with People Operations on onboarding, terminations, pay changes, and mid-cycle updates.
• Process salary, hourly, and incentive pay including loan originator compensation.
• Maintain commission and bonus plans in CompenSafe and audit configurations.
• Maintain state and local tax registrations; ensure withholding, SUI, and local tax accuracy.
• Oversee quarterly and year-end tax filings and W-2 preparation and delivery.
