Job summary

National Kidney Partners is seeking a Payroll Specialist to handle bi-weekly/semi-monthly payroll for multiple entities. You will manage new hires, terminations, garnishments, and direct deposit updates, ensuring tax deposits and filings are accurate.

Qualifications include 2–3 years of payroll experience, proficiency with major payroll systems, and strong Excel skills. An Associate’s Degree is required; a Bachelor's degree is preferred. FPC/CPP certification is a plus.

Qualifications

• Experience with ADP, PayCor, Paychex, QuickBooks Payroll or Gusto.
• Knowledge of federal and Florida payroll tax requirements (941, FUTA, SUTA, W-2).
• Proficient with Microsoft Excel for reconciliation and reporting.
• Associate’s Degree required; Bachelor’s degree preferred; FPC/CPP a plus.

• Prepare federal and Florida payroll tax deposits and filings; reconcile tax accounts monthly.

• Reconcile payroll registers to general ledger; prepare payroll summary and labor distribution reports.
• Respond to employee payroll inquiries promptly; assist with month-end close accruals.

Job description

• Payroll Processing: Collect, verify, and process bi-weekly/semi-monthly payroll for all entities; enter hours, salaries, adjustments, PTO, and deductions with precision.
• New Hire & Change Management: Process new hire setup, terminations, pay rate changes, garnishments, and direct deposit updates in the payroll system.
• Payroll Tax & Compliance: Prepare and submit federal and Florida payroll tax deposits and filings (Form 941, FUTA, SUTA); reconcile tax accounts monthly.
• Year-End Payroll: Manage W-2 preparation and distribution; assist with year-end payroll close in coordination with the SSA and external CPA.
• Payroll Reconciliation: Reconcile payroll registers to general ledger each pay period; prepare payroll summary and labor distribution reports.
• Employee Support: Respond to employee payroll inquiries accurately and within established timeframes.
• Other Duties: Assist with month-end close payroll accruals and other duties as assigned by the SSA.

What We Are Looking For
