Job summary

Inland Group of Companies in Charlotte, NC is seeking a Payroll Administrator to ensure bi‑weekly and weekly payroll for 500+ employees is processed accurately and in compliance with regulations.

You will audit time and attendance, maintain payroll data in Workday, respond to employee inquiries, and collaborate with HR on timekeeping. Eligible staff enjoy health/dental/life insurance, a 401(k) plan with company match and other benefits.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in accounting or related field required.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in payroll or related area.
• Strong customer service skills and attention to detail.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office; able to learn payroll software quickly.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and work with sensitive data.

Responsibilities

• Weekly processing of bi-weekly payroll for 500+ employees using Workday.
• Enter and maintain payroll information including hours, salaries, deductions, and tax data.
• Ensure proper processing of payroll deductions for taxes and benefits.
• Issue checks or direct deposits for payroll corrections or final discharges.
• Prepare payroll tax deposits and quarterly/annual reports.
• Reconcile time and attendance to payroll and respond to inquiries.
• Collaborate with HR on timekeeping procedures.
• Train staff on timekeeping practices.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
