Job summary

Southern Farm Bureau Casualty Insurance Company in Ridgeland, MS is seeking a Payroll Clerk to handle biweekly payroll processing, data entry, and records reconciliation.

Responsibilities include preparing reports, updating deductions, reviewing wages for accuracy, and maintaining payroll records; 1-3 years of experience and UKG experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Associates degree or better.
• 1-3 years of experience preferred.
• UKG experience preferred.

• Compile payroll data such as hours worked, taxes, insurance, and payroll deductions to be withheld, and employee identification number, from time sheets and other records.
• Prepare computer input forms, enter data into computer files, or compute wages and deductions and post to payroll records.
• Review wages computed and correct errors to ensure accuracy of payroll.
• Record changes affecting net wages such as exemptions and insurance coverage for each employee to update master payroll records.
• Prepare periodic reports of earnings, taxes, and deductions.
• Reconcile all payroll related ledger accounts.
• Prepare all payroll related government reports.
• Keep records of leave pay and nontaxable wages.
• Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
