Responsibilities
Performs daily payroll operations.
Manages workflow to ensure all payroll transactions are processed accurately and timely.
Verify and monitor various withholdings, ensuring timely deductions as well as payment to each appropriate payee each month.
Reconciles payroll prior to transmission and validates confirmed reports.
Processes transfer of payroll to ADP EV6.
For payroll check errors, must be able to determine appropriate tax and other calculations for revise gross earnings, and issue replacement check.
Serve as contact for payroll questions and requests.
Stays current on the payroll processing system and payroll reporting requirements.
Works with payroll application technical support to troubleshoot problems.
Understands proper taxation of employer paid benefits.
Process correct manual check and garnishment calculations and compliance.
Supports time and attendance processing and interface with payroll.
Processes accurate and timely year-end reporting as necessary (W-2, W-2c, etc.)
Loads import files received from HR.
Researches and emails appropriate audience of file issues.
Qualifications
Education and Experience: Desired Qualifications: - Associates degree in business and/or a minimum of 5-7 years of related experience in payroll. CPP preferred.
Special Skills: UKG (Kronos) , E-time or similar timekeeping experience, preferred Payroll processing knowledge with ADP, preferably EV6. Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Must be able to function in a team environment by working with, and cooperating with others. Experience with multi-state payroll. Working knowledge of federal and state regulations.
