Job summary

Duties include coordinating with departments to ensure accurate and timely production of payroll; researching and resolving pay issues; developing procedures to reconcile payroll and maintain the integrity of the HRIS database; and processing employee status changes, check requests, mandatory withholdings and pay adjustments. Duties also include generating and distributing HRIS management reports; preparing W 2s; and training department timekeepers. This position will cross-train to provide backup support in employee benefits. A high school diploma or equivalent, plus some college or specialized training in payroll is required. CPP (Certified Payroll Professional) designation preferred but not required. Must have a minimum of three years’ experience processing payroll for 2000 employees or more; be proficient with spreadsheets; and have experience with MS Office. A résumé must be submitted with application. Starting pay for this position is Pay Grade GG19 Steps 1 - 3, $27.63 per hour to $29.60 per hour dependent upon experience.
